Advanced Reiki Training (ART) & Reiki Master Teacher Certification Class

I teach the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level I, (Shoden) First Degree Practitioner Certification; Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level II, (Okuden) Second Degree Practitioner Certification; and the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Level III Third Degree (Shinpi Den), Reiki Master Teacher Certification classes.

For individuals who have successfully achieved Reiki Level I and Level II Certified Practitioner, many Reiki Master Teachers will offer the Reiki Practitioner the Advanced Reiki Training (ART) as the next level. The ART provides additional symbols, healing energy, techniques, and knowledge similar to the Reiki Master Teacher certification class. Sometimes the ART is called Reiki Master Level IIIa. Then, the Reiki Master Teacher teaches the Level III, Reiki Master Teacher Certification class which is sometimes called Reiki Master IIIb.

Rather than teach the Advanced Reiki Training (ART) as an individual class, I combine it with the Reiki Master Teacher Certification by extending the training days. One of the primary reasons I do this is to support the reverence of Reiki as a sacred and empirical healing process with the goal of sharing what they learned with other students worldwide as a Reiki Master Teacher.

An intrinsic value of combining these two levels is the accelerated enlightenment and spiritual development of the Reiki Master Teacher. Another benefit is the capacity to teach and certify students in all levels of Reiki even if initially this was not considered by the Reiki Practitioner.

I believe that when we are drawn to become a Reiki Practitioner we know this on multiple levels and we have a feeling for embracing the calling to serve others and to make a positive difference in the world. When a person senses a calling for becoming a Reiki Master Teacher is more significant in the sense that it carries greater responsibility. In addition to providing Reiki treatments, the Reiki Master Teacher certifies new Reiki Practitioners and Reiki Master Teachers who will exponentially pass on this healing process to many new healers.

One of the benefits of becoming a Reiki Master Teacher is the fulfillment of following one’s spiritual path. There is the essence of harmony, balance, unconditional compassion, and embracing our life experiences with our intuitive guidance.

The Reiki Master Teacher has infinite healing potential. And of course, unlimited responsibilities as a teacher. When the Reiki Practitioner feels that they can embrace the responsibilities to fulfill their healing potentials they may find it’s time to become a Reiki Master Teacher. I interview Reiki Practitioners, even those I have certified, to discuss the responsibility of being a Reiki Master Teacher and the life changes that may occur once they become certified as a Reiki Master Teacher.

I have read from other prominent Reiki Master Teachers that a Reiki Practitioner and especially a Reiki Master Teacher must surrender and allow the spiritual path to guide them. I believe that following our spiritual paths are not surrendering. It is embracing, and there is a significant difference. I think of embracing as equality that empowers us rather than a surrendering which appears inherently disempowering.

The next two-day Reiki Master Teacher certification class is in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 29, and September 30, 2018.

The Quantum Physics Approach to Reiki

2018 © Stephen Bruno

This is a brief description of the content in my new Reiki manual to be published later this year, The Quantum Physics Approach to Reiki.

During my youth, I began a lifelong self-education of the energy influences in our universe. This research included my eventually providing countless hours of energy healing treatments applying quantum physics principals that I created long before I was aware of Reiki. Since 1998 I have been curious about the nature, substance, and process of Reiki energy. For twenty years, I have been researching, studying, and analyzing how the new theories of quantum physics explain the properties of Reiki energy.

I believe that while Universal Life Force energy which Reiki draws upon does not require your thorough understanding of energy dynamics to be effective, it is essential to learn how to embrace and apply this energy with Reiki treatments, especially for diverse illnesses and injuries.

In this manual, I delineate the traditional Usui System of Natural Healing concepts of Reiki energy in trusting that Reiki goes where it needs to travel for healing, along with my rigorous studies of the Reiki fluidity with energy and atoms and subatomic particles.

As a Reiki Master Teacher since 1999, in my Reiki certification classes and especially in the Reiki Master Teacher certification classes, I teach the approach of quantum physics that observing something influences the physical processes that are taking place. For example, when the Reiki Practitioner is mindful of how they are observing the Reiki, they will understand how this influences the subatomic particles which then respond like waves (called wave-particle duality) in the healing process. Another concept that can guide the Reiki Practitioner with distance Reiki treatments is comprehending how matter can go from one location to another without moving through the intervening space (called quantum tunneling) with treatment efficacy.

Many years ago, I studied string theory proposed within quantum physics as the theory of all the subatomic particles in the universe including protons, neutrons, electrons, quarks, photons as bits of vibrating string. I think about when I played the guitar; the notes played on it, the particles produced by a guitar string, depending on how the string vibrates. There is a direct correlation with how the Reiki Practitioner embraces the Reiki energy vibrations with their vibrations encouraging more thorough treatments for specific ailments, organs, and systems in the body of humans and animals.

I do want to clarify that the Reiki Practitioner can, draw upon the Reiki energy empowered by their attunement and provide wonderful treatment trusting the Universal Life Force energy goes where needed without understanding the process. I think that most of the Reiki Practitioners follow exactly this approach. I do especially teach this in the Reiki level I & II certification classes as part of the traditional Usui System of Natural Healing procedures.

I also believe there is a serendipitous benefit for the Reiki Practitioner and the person or animal they are treating when the Reiki Practitioner has a greater understanding of how to guide the Reiki energy that is compatible with how energy naturally responds in the universe. This understanding is one of many reasons why I teach easy to understand quantum physics in all levels of my Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki certification classes, and why I’m publishing The Quantum Physics Approach to Reiki.

Reiki for Animals

Prescott, Arizona 2014 © Stephen Bruno

Prescott, Arizona 2014 © Stephen Bruno

Is Reiki for Animals Different from Reiki for Humans?

I work with people and I work with animals to help them improve and maintain their quality of life. Reiki is wonderful for our animal companions because it is gentle, noninvasive and does not require physical contact. It does not cause them stress, pain, discomfort or aggravate their issues. Numerous powerful benefits result from Reiki for animals. Just like with humans, animals easily respond to Reiki’s influence to support their healing of emotional, behavioral, and physical illnesses and injuries.

For animals who are ill, Reiki is a wonderful healing method as well as a safe complement to Western Medicine, Chinese Medicine, homeopathy, and all other forms of natural healing. Animal Reiki can reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and surgery. Reiki accelerated the healing of Quincy, a dachshund in my family, after major back surgery.

Reiki treatment for humans generally includes a series of specific hand positions lightly placed upon different areas of the body to identify and stimulate healing. Unlike humans, animals will frequently place certain parts of their body that need healing against the hands of the Reiki practitioner. You can use Reiki with a light touch on an animal or from several feet away. Some animals may come forward to receive hands-on treatment. A Reiki practitioner can use distant Reiki to help the healing process.

I encourage Reiki in treating our animal companion’s endocrine glands which include the Pineal and Pituitary, Thyroid and Thymus, Adrenals, Pancreas, Gonads and Ovaries. And always, follow your intuition on where to place your hands.
